About the position

2nd VP, Product and Channel Marketing provides dedicated support to the Security Benefit sales teams, driving product success and enabling sales effectiveness. This function is essential for achieving the strategic goal of supporting all distribution channels with product marketing, value-add elements, and sales support. This function works closely with the sales teams to understand their needs and develop targeted marketing materials that resonate with specific channels. By focusing on both product marketing and channel enablement, this team ensures that Security Benefit's offerings are effectively positioned in the marketplace and that sales professionals have the tools they need to succeed. The function directly contributes to the strategic goal of understanding the potential of the brand and products to enhance clients' lives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance over the integration of the Security Benefit brand with our marketing focus to best position our products, distribution channels and sales support.
  • Leverage data and business intelligence to create relevant, scalable, and repeatable integrated marketing programs and key deliverables for our sales teams and our targeted markets.
  • Measure and optimize marketing campaigns to ensure effectiveness against KPIs, target audience reach, and ROI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with business goals.
  • Partner with stakeholders on product materials, product positioning, capabilities messaging, presentations, webinars, and communications to relevant audiences.
  • Work with Sales leadership to ensure internal sales team has the tools, training support, and materials needed to effectively sell products and services.
  • Create a positive and performance-driven culture based on the Security Benefit desired culture building repeatable processes to deliver results.
  • Manage and develop a team of marketing professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of marketing experience in financial services or a related industry.
  • Eight years of management experience.
  • Expert understanding of traditional and digital platforms.
  • Strong relationship building skills and collaboration.
  • Broad experience developing and executing marketing strategies for complex products.
  • Thorough understanding of financial services and the distribution process, including how products are priced and positioned across various distribution channels.
  • Technical acumen to design campaigns that optimize the use of traditional and digital marketing platforms.
  • Ability to interpret data and articulate results to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical and decision-making skills to identify/prioritize critical issues and interpret data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
