A Shift General Production-Logansport Plant (New Hires Only) August

About the position

This position could work in any area or department of this pork processing facility. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are required in all areas. Lifting is required in many areas (weight could be up to 62 lbs. upon area). These positions work in an extreme cold, damp or extreme hot and humid environment, these areas have slippery walking surfaces. These positions will involve repetitive motion and basic to intermediate skill knife work, such as trimming and removing bones from meat products. Some positions may involve the use of powered equipment, such as saws or skinner machines. Must follow any other tasks assigned by member of management.

Responsibilities

• Work in various areas or departments of the pork processing facility.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
• Lift weights up to 62 lbs as required in many areas.
• Work in extreme cold, damp, or extreme hot and humid environments.
• Handle slippery walking surfaces.
• Engage in repetitive motion and basic to intermediate skill knife work.
• Use powered equipment such as saws or skinner machines when required.
• Follow tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One plus year experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Good communication skills and able to communicate well.
• Self-motivated with a good attendance record.
