Adjunct Instructor of Marketing - Our Lady of the Lake University

About the position

The Business Programs department at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio seeks a part-time Adjunct Marketing Instructor beginning Spring 2023 term (January 2023). The course(s) to be taught include undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Marketing. The instructor will prepare syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments as appropriate to the course under the supervision of a lead professor who will provide a sample syllabus and select the textbook(s) for the course. The instructor must be available for individual student assistance (outside class time) at least one hour per week per section, and/or respond to telephone or electronic communication from students within 24-48 hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments for Marketing courses.
• Provide individual student assistance outside class time for at least one hour per week per section.
• Respond to student communications within 24-48 hours.
• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Marketing in various modalities.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Marketing or 18 semester graduate hours in Marketing at a minimum.
• Preferred - Ph.D in Marketing.
• Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Marketing.
• Professional experience and/or certification in the Marketing field (significant industry experience).
• Available to teach in a variety of modalities: face to face classes or online classes.
• Available to teach Face to Face classes in traditional day, evening, or weekend formats.
• Prior experience working or teaching in relevant topic areas and course formats.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and student-centeredness.

Nice-to-haves

• Ph.D in Marketing.
