Responsibilities
- Review, process, and document high volumes of charitable requests for all SeaWorld Orlando parks
- Manage ticket and merchandise distribution/inventory for the department including Community Relations and Media Relations tickets
- Work with other departments to fulfill event requests, in-kind donations, grant wishes, etc.
- Follow appropriate protocols, compliance policies and contract guidelines
- Assist internal and external customers by answering questions and directing them to appropriate personnel as needed
- Maintain the Community Relations database and calendar
- Maintain supplies and needs of Community Relations and Events
- Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Be at least 18 years old
- Possess a valid state driver’s license and the ability to obtain a company driver’s license
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills including fluency in adjusting for audience and speaking to large groups
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
- Highly organized and able to juggle multiple competing priorities
- Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
- Fluency with social media applications
- Able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
- Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
- Able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat.
- Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor’s degree or degree-seeking preferred
- Previous Community Relations experience preferred
