About the position

Elizabeth Adam Crump Health and Rehab, a 180 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located in Glen Allen (Richmond), Virginia, is recruiting for a dynamic and driven Admissions and Marketing Director. The Admissions and Marketing Director will work closely with facility personnel to ensure a smooth transition of the patient to the facility. The job will require working with the Administrator and the Director of Nursing and other facility team members to admit residents into the facility according to established policies and procedures. The key responsibilities of the position include managing all incoming referrals and admissions to the facility. This includes working closely with referral sources, which include hospital case managers, social workers, physicians and community referral sources. The role also includes external sales and marketing efforts that include face-to-face sales calls with medical and community organizations and referral sources, with the goal of 5-8 sales call per day.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the pre-admission and admission process for patient referrals.
  • Convert referrals into admissions for the facility.
  • Work closely with facility personnel to ensure a smooth transition of the patient to the facility.
  • Conduct external sales and marketing calls to gain referrals and admissions.
  • Complete all admissions paperwork with the patient and/or family.
  • Perform face-to-face marketing calls to case managers, social workers, discharge planners, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Admissions and Marketing Director in a skilled nursing facility.
  • Knowledge of the admissions process for skilled nursing facilities.
  • Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.
  • Good communication skills with the capability to articulate ideas verbally and through writing.
  • Computer literacy and the ability to meet deadlines and conform to organizational policies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Richmond area hospitals, physicians, and senior organizations.
  • LPN preferred but not required.
  • Marketing experience.
