Advanced Software Engineer

About the position

As a software engineer for the NC3 business segment, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for design, development and test of the next generation of Strategic Systems. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Object oriented development, Agile experience, SASTs tools, GitLab, Python and bash, Understanding of SW engineering concepts, Atlassian, Good communication skills particularly with outside customer.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test software for the next generation of Strategic Systems.
• Lead the software development process.
• Apply technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways.
• Collaborate with team members and provide technical leadership.
• Champion new ideas and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
• 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance required at time of hire.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Nice-to-haves

• Agile experience.
• Object oriented development.
• Experience with SASTs tools.
• Familiarity with GitLab.
• Proficiency in Python and bash.
• Understanding of software engineering concepts.
• Experience with Atlassian.
