About the position

The successful applicant will provide ownership of and be performing work in FedRAMP or IL-5 type environments, and therefore, must be a U.S. Person (i.e. U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee). This position may also perform work that the U.S. government has specified can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil. Responsibilities

  • Integrate and deploy AI models to accelerate application development.
  • Develop Agentic applications to automate or accelerate key tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver AI driven solutions.
  • Use AI to analyze large sets of structured and unstructured data to derive meaningful insights.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate AI models, libraries, and third-party tools.
  • Document and communicate the technical aspects of AI projects to partners.
  • Conduct research to advance the capabilities of Cisco S&TO's high-impact initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in AI and provide recommendations to the rest of the organization.
  • Work closely with multi-functional teams, including cybersecurity experts, data scientists, and software engineers, to align AI initiatives with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science and experience in software engineering using Python, Go, Bash or similar languages.
  • Understanding of Vector Databases such as pgvector, Milvus, Pinecone, Weaveate, MongoDB Atlas Vector Search, etc.
  • Experience with orchestration libraries such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, and/or LangGraph.
  • Experience with source control and continuous integration tools like Git, Jenkins.
  • Demonstrate a dedicated attitude and ability to work multi-functionally with engineering and data science teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud computing and working with cloud providers such as AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, or Azure AI Foundry.
  • Experience with model training and deployment in production environments.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with engineering and data science teams.
  • Aptitude to stay up to date with advancing AI and machine learning technologies and industry best practices.
  • Ability and the passion to learn new things quickly.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and observability platforms like Splunk, Grafana or Prometheus.
