We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for an Area Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the sales efforts across five distinctive boutique hotels in the heart of New Orleans. Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall sales strategy and execution for five hotels.
  • Collaborate closely with property teams, revenue management, and corporate leadership to maximize market share and profitability.
  • Develop and execute a cohesive sales and marketing strategy across all five hotels to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead proactive sales efforts and secure new accounts across transient, group, and corporate segments.
  • Partner with revenue management to optimize rate strategy and inventory controls.
  • Set and achieve individual and team booking goals, with a strong focus on business travel, extended stay, and leisure segments.
  • Oversee the development and execution of promotional campaigns, packages, and local activations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, tourism partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Manage all sales operations including proposals, contracts, site visits, and client communications.
  • Track performance metrics, analyze market trends, and adjust sales efforts accordingly.
  • Represent the hotels in the local community and at trade shows and industry events.

Requirements

  • Proven success in hotel sales, preferably in a multi-property or boutique environment.
  • Strong understanding of the New Orleans market and its unique demand drivers.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead initiatives independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • High level of organization, creativity, and strategic thinking.
  • Associate's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; Bachelor's degree, a plus.
  • Solid organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
  • Proven lead-generation and closing skills.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screening.
