About the position

The position involves a combination of research, teaching, and service within the School of Business at the University of Kansas. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct and publish research on marketing topics in leading academic journals, teach a variety of courses in marketing at different academic levels, and engage in service activities within the school and university. The role is designed for individuals who are committed to excellence in scholarship and teaching, and who are prepared to contribute to the academic community.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and publish research on marketing topics in leading academic journals (40%)
  • Teach a combination of required and elective courses in marketing at the undergraduate, master's, and/or doctoral levels (20%)
  • Engage in school, university, and professional service activities (20%)

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. or D.B.A. degree in marketing (must have completed or have reasonable expectation of completing the degree by August 18, 2026)
  • Demonstrated (or high potential for) excellent scholarship as shown through publications or working papers
  • Demonstrated (or high potential for) teaching excellence in marketing
  • Candidates at the Associate Professor level must meet the requirements for Promotion and Tenure at that level for the School of Business at the University of Kansas
