About the position

The Marketing Department at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor beginning Fall 2026. The primary teaching responsibilities for this position include undergraduate and graduate level courses in marketing research, marketing analytics, and digital marketing analytics. The candidate is also expected to conduct scholarly research activities that result in high-quality, peer-reviewed publications and to provide service to advance the mission of the department, school, university, and academy. A research-active faculty should expect to maintain a 3/2 teaching load. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of marketing professionals by envisioning new programs and embracing a growth mindset. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in both face-to-face and online instruction.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Marketing or a related field.
  • ABD candidates must have Ph.D. conferred by August 1, 2026, to be eligible for employment.
  • Degree verification must be provided before the end of the one-year fixed-term contract for ABD candidates.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven track record in teaching marketing courses such as Marketing Research, Marketing Analytics, and Digital Marketing Analytics.
  • Demonstrated deep understanding of market dynamics.
