About the position

As an Associate Director, Sports Partnership & Content Marketing, you will manage SiriusXM's partnerships with Sports leagues, teams, and brands within the Content Marketing and Partnerships team and work hand in hand with SiriusXM Programming and partners to shape and execute marketing of the content through internal cross functional efforts with the SiriusXM organization as well as externally through the Partner's audience network and any contractual assets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inform the development of the framework, strategy, and approach for marketing plans and creative materials for O&O and partner media that drive content awareness, subscriber growth, and retention.
  • Lead negotiation of net new or renewal partnership agreements, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with company objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional internal and external partner stakeholders inclusive of programming, social, marketing, brand, talent, CRM, PR, analytics, business development, ad sales, and legal to ensure seamless fulfillment of contractual obligations.
  • Develop, expand, and elevate relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at partner organizations to promote generation of incremental value from existing agreements.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences to network and build relationships with potential partners.
  • Proactively identify market trends and new opportunities based on known objectives.
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to identify and recommend existing assets that can be leveraged to drive revenue and assist in the execution and fulfillment of those packages.
  • Lead partner and sports programming activation planning from strategy to execution.
  • Provide onsite support at activations and events as needed.
  • Ongoing tracking and regular reporting on consumption and marketing performance to leadership and partners (where applicable), providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and manage the department and partner media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Mentor and develop team members to drive individual and collective growth.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience with 5+ years in partnership or content marketing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management or Marketing a plus.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • An interest in the sports business.
  • Must remain up to speed on news and current events related to various sports.
  • Knowledge of the key players in the sports partnership landscape.
  • Solid understanding of both traditional and emerging media landscapes-including social media and content streaming.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to proactively identify opportunities and drive projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Ability to travel and attend/work partner events as needed.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $125,100 to $141,500 depending on skills, qualifications, and experience.
  • Eligibility for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives.
