About the position

The Associate Manager, Global Brand Marketing will be working on the Games Global Brand Team to deliver product marketing strategies that will contribute to business growth for UNO. Working alongside the Manager, Global Brand Marketing, multi-disciplinary cross-functional colleagues across the company, and external stakeholders, the Associate Marketing Manager will drive product development while ensuring that the brand has exceptional marketing support—creating unique and strategic product strategy, development pitches, and internal/external marketing assets that can be maximized at retail and on ecommerce.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all product marketing projects are supported by business strategy, objectives and insights
  • Assist in gaining buy-in to global product strategies at all levels, as well as executional commitment from internal partners to activate across key markets and key lines of business
  • Work closely with the Product Design, Packaging and Development teams to bring innovative and compelling games to market on time and on budget backed by Consumer Insights
  • Present product lines and strategy to key internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Create unique retailer exclusive products and campaigns
  • Communicate regularly with global teams and lines of business to ensure needs are being met
  • Brief creative teams and work with them to develop marketing assets
  • Provide high-level guidance in development of global marketing campaigns for portfolio of products
  • Monitor key trends, brands, and competitors’ performance in all markets
  • Lead global business reporting and analysis
  • Work with other Mattel Global Brand teams to share plans and ‘best practices’
  • Act as point of contact for brand inquiries and dissemination of brand information and assets

Requirements

  • 5+ years (2 years with MBA) experience in marketing, preferably in product development, strategy, analytics, or brand marketing
  • Experience with company/product/marketing that is rooted in consumer trends
  • Experience with ecommerce and direct selling or retail partnerships
  • Experience gaining key stakeholder buy-in from key internal and external partners
  • Thorough understanding of marketing mix and KPIs
  • Experience analyzing data and understanding business financials
  • Strong ability to synthesize data and pull insights to create recommendations
  • Strong skills presenting in front of large groups
  • Highly organized, independent and detail oriented with strong follow up skills
  • Strong time management, planning and project execution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid collaborative relationships
  • Deep curiosity for learning about unfamiliar products, properties, and consumer segments, and conducting market research on new developments and trends
  • Strong PowerPoint creation and presentation skills, proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel; Cognos and/or Thoughtspot experience are a plus
