About the position
Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools seeks an Athletic Trainer. Varied Hours and Days. Please apply via OLAS. The Athletic Trainer would be expected to attend home athletic contests and practices as scheduled, evaluate injuries, provide first aid to athletes and determine fitness to return to play. The trainer will plan and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes, perform administrative tasks such as writing reports and instructions, and develop and maintain inventory of athletic training supplies. Additionally, the trainer will apply tape, bandages, and braces to protect or prevent injuries prior to events. The working hours are Monday to Friday starting at 2:30 PM, with the end time determined by the director of athletics and game and practice schedules. Weekends will be determined by game and practice schedules. The trainer will also collaborate with school nurses and develop outreach to local healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- A baccalaureate or higher degree from a program accredited by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP), or the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
- Strength & conditioning certification a plus.
- Current CPR and First Aid training.
