Augmented Reality Software Engineer

About the position

The Augmented Reality Software Engineer is responsible for developing and debugging Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) software or applications for various devices. This role requires applying advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. The engineer will work without considerable direction, mentor, and may supervise team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug VR and AR software or applications for various devices.
• Apply advanced consulting skills and extensive technical expertise.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with software development in industry settings.
• 3+ years of experience developing features within 3D real-time interactive products.
• Experience with programming languages such as C# or C++.
• Experience with building for virtual, mixed, or augmented reality.
• Ability to solve problems effectively and work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience developing SDKs or shared technology that enhances extensibility and reuse.
• Experience with performance optimization of real-time applications.
• Knowledge of one or more real-time engine components such as Rendering, Input Processing, Serialization, UI, or Networking.
• Knowledge of 3D math, linear algebra, and data structures.
• Ability to effectively communicate and exhibit interpersonal skills.
