About the position

The Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships, a trusted name since 1963 with 24 dealership and 14 Collision Center locations across the Delmarva Peninsula, is seeking a Marketing Director to lead our evolving field marketing and retail strategy efforts. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving customer engagement, loyalty, and performance across our stores. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute localized marketing strategies that increase sales, service retention, and customer lifetime value.
  • Influence traffic, sales, and CSI through market-specific plans and promotional initiatives tied to KPIs and customer behavior insights.
  • Act as a strategic liaison between store managers, OEM partners, and internal marketing resources to ensure alignment and impact.
  • Use analytics, CRM systems, Google tools, and vendor platforms to deliver targeted, measurable marketing plans.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of digital, print, and event campaigns with compelling creative and clear ROI.
  • Understand and respond to each market's unique dynamics. Foster a consistent yet tailored customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years in regional marketing, retail marketing, or dealership experience preferred
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to lead through data and influence outcomes
  • Strong project and vendor management skills
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics, CRMs (like VinSolutions or Elead), and campaign tracking tools
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation abilities
  • Automotive industry experience strongly preferred
