AVP, Technology Product Owner

About the position

The AVP, Technology Product Owner at LPL Financial LLC is responsible for researching, designing, and developing a technical roadmap, growth opportunities, and strategies to remain competitive. This role involves maintaining Agile and Scrum best practices, leading product release planning, and establishing expectations for the delivery of new technical functionalities. The position requires mitigating impediments impacting successful completion of releases and sprints, setting direction for Agile development teams, and collaborating with stakeholders to evaluate build versus buy decisions. The role also includes driving insights from feedback and communicating architectural diagrams and technology stack capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Researches, designs, and develops a technical roadmap and product pipeline based on business value or ROI.
• Maintains Agile and Scrum best practices for the team.
• Leads product release planning and establishes expectations for delivery of new technical functionalities.
• Mitigates impediments impacting successful completion of Release and Sprint.
• Sets direction for Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project.
• Reviews development backlogs, product demonstrations, design sessions, sprint planning, and program increments.
• Drives insights and recommendations from feedback from advisors and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to evaluate build versus buy decisions.
• Communicates architectural diagrams and technology stack capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and five years of experience as an AVP, Technology Product Owner or related occupation.
• Alternatively, a Master's degree in a related field and three years of experience as an AVP, Technology Product Owner or related occupation.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and forecasting in a fintech environment.
• Experience using Jira and Aha to build, plan, and mitigate product defects and roadmaps.
• Expertise in coordinating product release planning cross-functionally.
• Ability to articulate design changes to customer-centric applications using Figma files.
• Experience performing data analytics and visualizations using Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, and Alteryx.
• Ability to develop high-quality user stories and business architecture.
