About the position
We are seeking a hard-working and experienced banquet server. The ideal candidate is courteous, professional, and works well with a team. They are responsible for greeting guests, helping them find their seats, and serving food and drinks throughout the event. A Banquet Server is also responsible for assisting with planning events, preparing and cleaning up the event, serving guests, and responding to questions, complaints and special requests. In order to be successful in the banquet server role, candidates must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Professionalism, politeness, and efficiency as a server are also required.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and assist them in finding their seats.
- Serve food and drinks throughout the event.
- Assist with planning events and preparing for them.
- Clean up after events.
- Respond to questions, complaints, and special requests from guests.
Requirements
- May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Requires mobility; frequently required to sit, kneel, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects.
- Duties require attentiveness to visual and audible cues.
- May be required to work in the heat and sun for periods of time.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- May be required to climb step stools of a height of 3 feet.
- Must be capable of working under pressure.
