About the position
The First National Center is a historic icon reimagined, located in downtown Oklahoma City. Originally built in 1931, this Art Deco masterpiece has been meticulously restored to blend its rich past with modern luxury. The center features The National, Autograph Collection Hotel, with 146 guest rooms, and The First Residences, offering 193 luxury apartments. It also includes exceptional dining options, luxury retail spaces, and premier event venues. The Banquet Services Set-Up role is crucial for ensuring that all meetings and events are set up correctly, leaving a lasting impression on guests.
Responsibilities
- Set up meeting and banquet rooms as per the event order
- Ensure all equipment, furniture, and materials are correctly placed, and the room is arranged to meet the guest's needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the banquet rooms
- Collaborate with other Banquet Team members to ensure a seamless event experience
- Assist in the tear-down and pack-up of banquet equipment and event materials
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in banquet services set-up or a similar role is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and weekends as required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
