About the position

As a Branch Manager, you own the branch’s business performance and have total P&L responsibility. You’re a salesperson, visiting customers, making calls, and coaching the inside sales team. You’re the operations manager, creating and improving the processes for everything from safety procedures to inventory management to on-time delivery. And you’re the business leader, removing obstacles to achieving the branch’s financial targets and developing the next generation of talent on your team.

Responsibilities

  • Own the branch’s business performance and P&L responsibility.
  • Visit customers and make sales calls.
  • Coach the inside sales team.
  • Create and improve processes for safety procedures, inventory management, and on-time delivery.
  • Remove obstacles to achieving financial targets.
  • Develop the next generation of talent on the team.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent additional years of experience.
  • 5+ years leading operations, a P&L, and teams of people.
  • Previous field and branch leadership experience in industrial distribution preferred.
  • Strong history of a customer-focused and commercial mindset.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Uphold confidentiality in all situations.
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to use Internet, Outlook, MS Office, and position-specific software.
