About the position

Heritage Auctions is looking for a Category Marketing Specialist to streamline auction marketing efforts by bridging communication between category teams and the Marketing Department. This is a project coordination role—not a creative, content production, or social media position. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure auction marketing campaigns are executed smoothly, following standardized plans and timelines. You will not be responsible for writing content, managing social platforms, or designing creative assets—instead, your role will be to orchestrate the workflow, enforce marketing timelines, and help marketing campaigns move efficiently from request to delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the day-to-day point of contact for assigned auction categories, coordinating their marketing needs across multiple internal departments.
  • Manage the intake, organization, and scheduling of marketing deliverables, ensuring everything follows a consistent plan.
  • Track deadlines, approvals, and deliverables across multiple auction categories using tools like Robohead, Asana, or similar project management software.
  • Run weekly marketing check-in meetings with category stakeholders to communicate progress, address roadblocks, and align expectations.
  • Enforce standardized marketing timelines and deliverables while remaining flexible to changes in auction scope or timing.
  • Partner with Creative, DCommerce, Video, and Social Media teams to ensure they have what they need to deliver on time.
  • Identify process bottlenecks or workflow inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing project management, operations, or coordination—especially in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills; able to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Comfortable working across teams and personalities, with a calm, professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency with project management or work management software (e.g., Robohead, Monday.com, etc.).
  • Familiarity with creative or marketing production workflows (though you will not be executing creative work).
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in or with marketing teams in eCommerce, auction, entertainment, or agency settings.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, email marketing systems, or digital asset management tools.
  • Exposure to marketing plan development or process improvement initiatives.

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, Vision coverage
  • Paid time off
  • 401k savings plans
  • Daily Pay: Access your pay when you need it!
