About the position
Bismarck State College is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Catering Assistant to join our team and support campus catering events. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of catering operations by assisting with food preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with routine food preparation and serving for all catering events on campus.
- Support the delivery of catered meals and/or items to specified buildings, including set up and take down of catering events.
- Assist in maintaining the dishwasher and dish return area, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
- Operate various kitchen equipment and cleaning tools to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain required safety and health standards in the catering department.
- Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement in processes and functions.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions with attention to detail.
