About the position

As Catering Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling and servicing social events and group room blocks, with a focus on weddings, birthdays, family reunions, educational conferences, sorority and fraternity events, and more. This role blends strategic sales with hands-on event detailing, requiring someone who excels at both relationship-building and operational execution. You will report to the Director of Sales and collaborate with internal teams to ensure guest satisfaction while achieving personal and hotel revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit new business through outbound sales efforts, networking, site tours, and industry events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with social clients, vendors, and community organizations.
  • Sell and detail all events booked, ensuring each event is executed flawlessly.
  • Service events booked by both yourself and the Director of Sales.
  • Create detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), diagrams, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with operations, front desk, and F&B teams to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Meet or exceed sales and revenue goals as outlined by leadership.
  • Maintain accurate records in Delphi and FOSSE systems.
  • Work a Tuesday-Saturday schedule, with flexibility for evenings and holidays as required by event demands.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in social catering or event sales, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Proven success managing multiple events from sale to service.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Experience with Delphi and FOSSE preferred.
  • Self-starter with a proactive sales approach and strong sense of ownership.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
