The Family Advocate is responsible for providing case management, crisis intervention, information/referral services, and advocacy for child victims and their non-offending caregivers at the Child Advocacy Center. Provides trauma-informed crisis interviews to non-offending caregivers (NOCs). Educates NOCs on sexual abuse related topics; helps NOC develop workable strategies to protect the child and themselves. Communicates with continuing care providers as requested or deemed necessary for the well-being of the child. Recognizes the need for professional trauma-informed interventions and makes appropriate and effective referrals. Creates and maintains accurate and timely client files, documents all client contacts in client files, and complies statistical information. Documentation reflects appropriate trauma-informed interventions and correspondence.
