About the position

This position is for a Physician role within the Federal system, specifically located in Chinle, AZ, Kayenta, AZ, Gallup, NM, and Shiprock, NM. The role requires a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution. The position has no promotion potential to the next grade level, and any promotion will require the incumbent to apply for the next grade level, up to GS-15. The promotion is at management's discretion and based on the demonstrated ability to perform higher-level duties. Experience can include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer work through National Service programs. Applicants must clearly identify their duties and responsibilities in their resume, including the total number of hours worked per week.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct service in a clinical setting.
  • Maintain medical staff clinical privileges.
  • Obtain and maintain licensure requirements.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited school.
  • Current, active, full, and unrestricted license as a Physician.
  • At least 1 year of supervised experience in a clinical setting.
  • Board Certification in the specialty to which the applicant is applying.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Emergency Medicine.
  • Additional graduate training in the specialty.
