About the position

At NorthBay Health the Registered Nurse on the Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit you will provide safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care to our patients following Jean Watson's Theory of Caring, the Relationship Based Care, and the NorthBay's professional nursing practice model. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for all patients assigned to your care. You will also use a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient and their family along with your interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health for the patient. Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective, quality nursing care to patients.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for all assigned patients.
  • Establish therapeutic professional relationships with patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote, maintain, and restore health.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing.
  • Nursing degree of BSN level or higher is required.
  • Valid, current and unencumbered RN license by the State of California.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Telemetry certification within 3 months of employment and periodic renewal.
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care with stepdown, progressive, telemetry or cardiac experience.
  • Excellent teaching skills with individuals, groups and complex populations.
  • Adult and geriatric cardiac and pulmonary assessment.

Nice-to-haves

  • One year of critical care experience preferred.
  • One year of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation experience preferred.
