Based in Chicago with advisors across the U.S., we operate as a registered investment advisor (RIA). We are seeking a skilled Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Windows-based systems, and enterprise data platforms. This role blends cloud engineering, DevOps automation, and systems administration, supporting both modern cloud-native workloads and traditional infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong AWS expertise, Infrastructure-as-Code experience, CI/CD pipeline development skills, and hands-on Windows systems administration experience, along with a proactive operational support mindset

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud and infrastructure engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
  • Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation)
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
  • Proficiency with Git, YAML, AWS CLI, and Linux command line
  • Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
  • Strong Windows Server administration experience
  • Experience with SQL Server, Snowflake, and integration platforms (e.g. MuleSoft)
  • Familiarity with secure file transfers and credential management processes
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills across infrastructure and application layers

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in financial services or regulated environments
  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.)
  • Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
  • Experience supporting enterprise data engineering workflows

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Work with a broad range of AWS services to support application, data, and integration workloads
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, AWS CDK (TypeScript), or CloudFormation
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, security standards, and best practices
  • Design cost-effective, extensible, and supportable cloud solutions
  • Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Automate deployments and infrastructure provisioning
  • Containerize and manage applications using Docker
  • Maintain and upgrade deployment platforms to support development velocity and security
  • Promote DevOps culture, automation, and continuous improvement practices
  • Utilize AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity
  • Administer and support Windows Server environments, web services (IIS), and related infrastructure
  • Execute change requests across SQL Server, Snowflake, and MuleSoft environments
  • Manage file transfers between network shares and external systems
  • Support and troubleshoot Active Batch job scheduling, including job synchronization and certificate updates
  • Monitor infrastructure and applications using Dynatrace or similar observability tools
  • Respond to alerts related to memory, storage, performance, and system availability
  • Support inbound infrastructure requests and manage tickets within the issue tracking system
  • Ensure production system stability, resiliency, and operational excellence

  • Base salary of $90,000-$110,000 plus discretionary bonus (exact base salary amount will be dependent on experience)
