About the position
The position of Driver Education Instructor for the Community Schools is being announced for the 2025-2026 academic year. This position is contingent upon funding and sufficient student enrollment. It is aimed at teaching and administrative personnel within the Brockton Public Schools.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Driver Education Supervisor in scheduling, planning, and implementing the Driver Education Program
- Train students in behind the wheel driving instruction
- Schedule students for driving observation hours
- Maintain all required RMV records
- Must be available Monday-Friday, Saturdays, and school and summer vacation as needed
Requirements
- Certified by the Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) as a qualified Classroom Instructor
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Community Schools Driver Education Program
- Knowledge of Driver Education Curriculum, Parent Curriculum, and Driver Practicum Curriculum preferred
- Certification by the Registry of Motor Vehicle (RMV) as a Driving Instructor
