About the position
Responsible for construction projects that are assigned to the Superintendent. This includes supervision of construction cost estimates, material and sub-contractor pricing, negotiate and write sub-contracts and purchase orders, keep cost records, as well as plan and coordinate all construction activities. Also coordinates construction work with user group representatives and the Engineering Department.

- Assure proper accounting of material and labor costs.
- Conduct inspections of ongoing work for accuracy.
- Manage safety plans at all construction sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or high school graduate with equivalent work experience.
- Five years minimum experience as a construction supervisor with at least two years supervising projects of at least $300,000 in size.
- Ability to acquire and maintain Tennessee General Contractor’s license for facility, by examination.
