Responsibilities

  • Lead a group of employees who perform strategic analysis to understand portfolio risk, increase profitability, and optimize operational performance.
  • Determine strategic priorities for the team, identify trends, and lead efforts to maximize risk versus return for the business unit.
  • Use data and analytics to solve complex problems, coach and develop employees, and partner across technology, product, and risk leadership to drive performance.
  • Perform complex analysis of financial models, market data, financial data, and portfolio trends to understand product performance and improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance.
  • Support department-wide strategies and portfolio trend analysis, forecasting, and risk/control performance.
  • Lead innovation by identifying and championing large scale initiatives that improve risk management, profitability, and control oversight of risks for the business unit.
  • Identify business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions and communicate findings to senior management.
  • Coach employees on best practices for structuring complex problems, performing analysis, and communicating the results and implications of their work.
  • Maintain strategic relationships with peers and counterparts across product, technology, and business control functions.
  • Partner with senior leaders, evaluate current methods and develop strategies to achieve or exceed key operating metrics.
  • Lead key initiatives, translating strategy into real-time operational deployments and proactively identifying/responding to risk issues.
  • Continually improve processes through streamlining efforts and removing inefficiencies.
  • Identify, understand and prioritize the needs of internal, external, prospective and existing customers to provide solutions, resolve problems, and address questions.
  • Analyze and interpret large data sets to recommend ways to help the business achieve desired outcomes and make informed business decisions.
  • Monitor ongoing process performance, address pain points, and remediate issues to reduce risk.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and processes to foster an environment that promotes service excellence to customers.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of Consumer Vehicle Lending/Home Loans experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Consumer Collection regulations policies and procedures.
  • Strong ability to analyze data to influence business performance OR strong analytical and problem-solving skills as demonstrated by 5-7 years of experience.
  • Strong communication skills and leadership skills.
  • Process management experience.
  • Proficient at written and oral communication, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Goal driven and results oriented.

Nice-to-haves

  • Collections experience across all consumer portfolio products - preferred.
  • Unit Leader level experience.
  • Call Center experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace change.
