The Maintenance Tech is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues within conveyor systems. This role involves ensuring that the system meets all the client’s specifications and standards along with all applicable local, state, and national codes. The Maintenance Tech evaluates current material handling processes and considers innovation in technology, materials, methods, and controls software as an integral component of the system design. They influence the conceptual configuration of major equipment and controls elements of the project based on the layout of the space identified by the Client for the system through critical analysis, ensuring the system meets the form, fit, and function of the contract/specification requirements. Additionally, the Maintenance Tech develops general arrangement drawings of the system and prepares the preliminary manifest as input to the cost estimate process, assists the Estimator to establish costs and timelines for the project in the Proposal phase, and provides support to the Engineering team during subsequent phases of the project as required to ensure the integrity of the system is maintained.
