About the position

The Golden State Valkyries (GSV) are looking for a Coordinator to provide support the day-to-day marketing operations and programs for Brand Marketing, Corporate Partnerships, Community Relations, and Ticket Sales. In this role, you will collaborate with the broader Marketing and Studio teams to lead the development and execution of strategic marketing plans. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Marketing. This is an excellent opportunity to share your expertise while learning more about this growing sports and entertainment organization that values your initiative and dedication! This is a full-time position based onsite in Oakland, CA with time spent in San Francisco for game days.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of strategic campaign plans from inception to execution for GSV brand initiatives as well as department initiatives to increase fan satisfaction, community engagement, and revenue
  • Work closely with internal Marketing team to align on content creation, media planning/implementation and continued promotional support through owned or paid media
  • Collaborate with internal content team and freelancers on campaign development
  • Assist in the creation and management of marketing strategies, media plans, deliverables and activations to ensure client goals are met
  • Lead procurement of promotional goods, signage, installations and other creative orders to meet campaign or event program objectives
  • Assist in leading cross-functional meetings to align on marketing initiatives - set agenda and expectations while encouraging participation and recapping next steps
  • Lead the end-to-end payment process through the Coupa system, ensuring accurate and timely processing for all procurement, vendor, and freelance-related requests
  • Assist in the management of Valkyries Game Day folders and matchup graphic creation, review and implementation with channel owners and Corporate Partnerships
  • Support Sr. Manager and Corporate Partnerships in the development and implementation of partners' in-market promotions by outlining promotional overviews, tasking marketing assets and assigning performance recap, and assessing creative reviews
  • Serve as a brand steward to promote the socialization and adoption of our brand guidelines and creative reviews
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years of marketing experience, preferably within sports/entertainment marketing or account management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service, attention to detail and resolution skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects and media scheduling in a fast-paced work environment
