About the position

NBCU is looking for a dynamic Strategist to become a valued member of the Entertainment Marketing Strategy team (Bravo and NBC). Reporting to the VP, Marketing Strategy, this person will support the Marketing Strategy team in the development of marketing strategies that foster ideas, inspire creative thinking, drive cultural relevancy and lead to audience awareness, tune-in and fandom. They will also assist with managing day-to-day marketing strategy support and administrative functions, coordinating multiple assignments and marketing projects, and serving as department liaison communicating with internal Bravo and NBC divisions. The Marketing Strategy team works cross-functionally across multiple disciplines and plays a critical role in establishing the foundation of marketing campaigns across all networks, while also assisting with other high visibility brand priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and/or obtain all necessary background research for new projects, including finding relevant articles, summarizing information, and gathering materials internally.
  • Work with data systems, as well as internal and external research partners, to mine relevant consumer insights and cultural trends.
  • Aid in the development of marketing strategy briefs, including authoring strategic primers in-house, working with external agencies and assisting the Marketing Strategy Team.
  • Oversee the Marketing Strategy team’s organizational tracker (AirTable) and share drives, ensuring all updates and the latest documents are constantly incorporated and maintained.
  • Manage all meeting scheduling for the Marketing Strategy Team and take lead on notes.
  • Help on-board and manage the Marketing Strategy Team Page.
  • Attend all necessary meetings regarding specific networks, shows, and/or internal team updates; provide notes and/or summaries from meetings to Marketing Strategy team leadership as needed.

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of marketing and/or communications experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (writing and verbal), including tact and diplomacy.
  • Meticulous, thorough with details, and well organized; able to give a task their undivided attention and catch mistakes, errors, or changes before they snowball into a bigger problem.
  • Confident, driven, self-starter, who is comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Passion for and knowledge of the entertainment industry (especially Reality Television!).
  • Can manage multiple tasks simultaneously under deadline and pressure, and can pivot priorities with ease.
  • Is a highly resourceful problem solver for which no job is too big or too small.
  • Handles all projects proactively and thoroughly.
  • Can exercise a high level of discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Has demonstrated mastery of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and file sharing software (i.e., SharePoint). Strong data visualization skills a plus.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be willing to work in New York City.
