We are seeking a Customer Marketing Manager who is passionate about engaging with technical audiences and has strong product marketing instincts. In this role, you will build and manage programs that drive customer engagement, advocacy, and referrals. You will collaborate closely with customers to source CAD models, imagery, and compelling success stories that highlight real-world innovation. This role requires proficiency with CAD tools and the ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, UX, sales, and operations teams. You will also lead efforts on third-party review sites, ensuring our presence is strong and authentic across key platforms. Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the referral program, incentivizing and rewarding customers who introduce new users to our platform.
  • Curate and manage customer CAD models and visuals to highlight innovation on high-visibility surfaces such as the Onshape homepage and sign-in page.
  • Engage and activate advocates through strategic events—both virtual and in-person—to keep them involved in marketing initiatives and community-building efforts.
  • Oversee our presence on key review sites (e.g., G2, Capterra, TrustRadius), encouraging authentic feedback, analyzing trends, and ensuring profiles remain accurate and compelling.
  • Own the customer advocacy program, identifying and nurturing power users to participate in case studies, testimonials, reference calls, and user groups.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, customer success, and content teams to identify potential advocates and promote customer stories across blog posts, social media, and webinars.
  • Develop customer success stories, including written case studies, video interviews, and collection of CAD models and visuals to showcase real-world product use.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in customer marketing, product marketing, or related roles.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with event planning both virtual and in-person, including content creation.
  • Experience managing advocacy or referral programs and driving customer participation.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating across teams including operations, UX, sales, and marketing to drive alignment and execution.
  • Experience developing or supporting written customer success stories, case studies, or marketing content.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align customer marketing initiatives with broader company goals.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, engineering workflows, or technical audiences is preferred.
