About the position

The Customer Marketing Specialist manages the execution of comprehensive Omnichannel marketing plans for their portfolio of customers. They play a critical role in the Sales and Marketing team for their assigned customers, collaborating with key marketing players (internal & external) to deliver annual customer marketing plans. They must understand the retail environment working closely with key accounts and retailers while working closely with the broader Alternative Channel Sales and Marketing team. Ultimately, they will drive the execution and optimization of trade plans and oversee projects from initial ideas to concept and final stage, all of which must portray the essence and position of the brand and account strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing advertising strategies and creative that builds the Tempur Sealy brands and customer's brand while driving consumer demand to the customer's doors
  • Leverage shopper, customer and category insights to deploy and optimize comprehensive (annual) customer marketing plans for assigned customers
  • Own omnichannel marketing planning/calendars, reporting and analytics
  • Support in-store and external retail marketing programs including custom graphics, distribution lists and presentation preparation
  • Collaborate with brand management, consumer marketing, and sales leadership to ensure alignment of brand objectives
  • Coordinate cross-functionally both internally and externally to drive project success
  • Support Sales & Marketing team in preparation for sales meetings, account presentations and sell-in initiatives
  • Manage outside agency and vendor relationships related to Retail Marketing programs
  • Has highly developed project, vendor management and multi-tasking skills
  • High business acumen & strong analytical skills. Must be able to analyze data and make recommendations to drive results and inform future planning
  • Flexible and able to adapt easily / quickly to changes in strategy and direction
  • Extremely detailed oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Solid working knowledge of Retail Media Networks and/or digital shelf management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree (MBA or graduate degree preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of customer retail marketing, brand marketing, or shopper marketing activation experience required (Wholesale Club experience is preferred)
  • CPG experience a plus
  • Performance marketing experience a plus
