Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a Cyber Software Engineer to join our team full-time. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions that safeguard our systems and networks.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and integrating custom scripts to protect critical systems.
  • Writing, testing, and deploying secure code that aligns with cybersecurity best practices.
  • Collaborating with security engineers to implement Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and system hardening measures.
  • Performing vulnerability scanning and addressing findings using tools like Automated Compliance Analysis System (ACAS).
  • Developing program accreditation artifacts to support regulatory compliance.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving software vulnerabilities to maintain system integrity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years related professional experience.
  • Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification or CISSP certification.
  • U.S. Citizenship/Current Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Experience with software development and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Bash/Script, PowerShell, or similar).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and secure coding techniques such as Python, Bash/Shell, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with STIGs, ACAS, and other security compliance tools.
  • Willingness to work at a facility requiring special access.

Nice-to-haves

  • B.S. in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, with 5 years related professional experience or Master's Degree and 3 years relevant experience.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or CISSP certification.
  • Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanning experience.
  • Familiarity with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) testing.
  • Full software life-cycle development.
  • Effective implementation of STIGS into Windows, Linux, VMware, and Networks, and Applications.
  • Strong understanding of the contents of Windows Event logs and Audit logs.
  • Coding for custom script development, use, and maintenance - currently using PowerShell but will be adding Shell Scripts (Linux) and YAML (Ansible).
  • Clear understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and its associated security controls.
  • Network security principles (end-to-end encryption, VLANs, intrusion detection and prevention, and SIEM).
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplined teams.
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying and addressing software vulnerabilities.
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently.
