The position involves maintaining a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and being a strong Christian witness in all interactions with youth, staff, donors, volunteers, and the general public to uphold Black Mountain Home’s mission of Glorifying God by caring for children, youth, and families. The role includes attending staff and team meetings, participating in Christian devotion and prayer, and staying updated on ministry through meeting minutes. Regular prayer for the youth, staff, volunteers, donors, and ministry impact is also a key responsibility. The position supports the Development and Community Relations team in creating, implementing, and evaluating fundraising and marketing strategies to sustain and grow the ministry. Responsibilities include creating content for direct mail and other communications, leading efforts to engage support from various stakeholders, and developing stewardship strategies for key constituencies. The role also involves maintaining promotional materials, adhering to IRS nonprofit gift accounting guidelines, and providing support for special events and projects.
