The site MES/ Proficy Site System Owner (SSO) is expected to manage the administration of the MES system from a business perspective. The SSO/ KU is the single point of contact at a site for the MES System. Depending on the size of the site, organization structure and other factors, SSO may own one, several or all the given systems/ applications. Summary of responsibilities include: Accountable for maintaining the system including issue escalation and resolution. The first line of support is when a user raises an issue and can assess when there is truly an issue versus when there is a gap in user understanding of the system. CAPA Resolution where specific site actions required, seeing CAP tasks through to closure, in a timely manner. "Green Zone" Configuration for pre-defined, low-risk changes to the locally owned configurations. Configurations for Yellow/Red Zone changes to be coordinated with GBS central resources in line with both site and global change management policies. Responsible for the use and adoption of the system, including identifying opportunities for the site to further leverage the system to eliminate losses and drive savings. Incident management, system performance, health checks, Master data management, small projects i.e., continuous improvement. Maintain Certification via SSO university standards and continuous development. Managing User training and work procedures for the system. The SSO/ KU role requires close collaboration and leadership with various departments across the site (GBS, Engineering and Quality), with the global and regional SSO/KU community and the global Manufacturing Services organization.
