About the position

Operating within the core values and operating principles of the organization, the Direct Marketing Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of direct marketing campaign projects and strategic initiatives. This position will work with direct marketing and analytics leadership to ensure campaign readiness for key programs supporting our life insurance goals and objectives. The Direct Marketing Project Manager will define, implement, and support direct marketing projects that align with AAA Life's KPIs using AAA Life's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data. In addition, the Direct Marketing Program Manager will serve as the subject matter expert and advocate for assigned subsets of AAA Life's audience, in addition to collaborating with stakeholders, identifying requirements, and monitoring progress, this position drives successful project outcomes that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the campaign process for key direct mail initiatives including tasks and timelines, while ensuring smooth transitions between work groups (Creative, Operations, Audience Data) in collaboration with the campaign managers.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand audience needs, implementation requirements, and align on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Identify project scope, stakeholders, requirements, and timelines for implementing direct marketing campaigns and other related projects.
  • Support direct marketing campaign projects from concept to implementation, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to objectives.
  • Write clear and comprehensive requirements for guiding direct marketing campaign projects maintain process documentation.
  • Champion tasks and milestones to ensure timely delivery, oversee progress, and address any issues or delays.
  • Support testing engagements from conception through launch, analyze results, and facilitate rollout plans.
  • Provide stakeholders and leadership with project status updates, metrics, and outcomes.
  • Monitor campaign performance and troubleshoot or escalate data/audience issues as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through processes and automation enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management or equivalent professional experience (preferred).
  • 7-10 years of experience in analytics, planning, or operations roles.
  • 7-10 years of experience analyzing and interpreting data from multiple sources.
  • 10 years of experience driving and maintaining execution schedules.
  • 7-10 years of expertise in managing and administering direct mail and digital acquisition projects.
  • Medium to advanced proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Experience working with Python, SQL, Git, and other relevant technical tools a plus.
  • Proven track record in managing direct marketing projects from initiation to completion.
