About the position

We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Director of Digital Marketing & Virtual Experiences to strengthen our digital outbound marketing muscle and lead several Demand Generation (DG) programs including global virtual events, webinars, paid media, and email growth marketing efforts. This role will own the strategy, execution and governance for key digital demand generation channels globally, and lead a high-impact team responsible for leading database expansion and enhancement, outbound channel diversification, and virtual experiences at scale to attract, nurture, and convert leads. The ideal candidate is an expert in growth & digital marketing, email marketing, content strategy, and demand generation who thrives in a cross-functional environment, partnering with teams across product marketing, brand, growth, Sales, and campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the virtual events & experiences function, focused on webinars, on-demand events, from strategy, execution to governance.
  • Lead the Marketing database expansion & enrichment strategy and execution, driving top of the funnel and expanding Freshworks’ digital presence.
  • Own and oversee the email marketing function including strategic planning, execution, and optimization of global email campaigns to drive user acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth.
  • Optimize and expand the digital channel mix to improve marketing effectiveness across all product lines.
  • Manage agencies and external partners, ensuring best-in-class strategies and execution.
  • Oversee a team of Marketing Managers and SMEs, driving demand globally for top, middle, and bottom-funnel leads.
  • Partner with campaign managers, brand, product marketing, and cross-functional teams to align the strategy and governance of digital outbound channels across the world.
  • Own performance tracking and reporting, using data-driven insights to improve channel conversions.
  • Innovate with AI, personalization, and marketing automation to scale content and enhance engagement.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in growth marketing focused on digital channels, preferably in B2B SaaS.
  • Proven experience leading performance marketing and outbound digital marketing efforts, including email and audience expansion, virtual events/roundtables, and other digital demand gen efforts at scale across the top, mid and bottom of funnel.
  • Experience with bringing governance and instituting mechanisms to ensure high quality prospect experience, acting as the center of excellence for digital channels.
  • Deep understanding of demand gen funnels and B2B buyer journeys.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience using AI and automation to scale content creation and optimization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a thought leadership mindset.
