About the position

At Underdog, we are looking for a seasoned marketing professional to join our team. This role is unique as it involves close collaboration with Marketing, Strategy, and Product teams to develop comprehensive marketing plans that support product launches, updates, and campaigns. You will conduct in-depth value proposition analysis and work with internal and external stakeholders to refine and communicate the brand’s differentiators in the sports gaming space. You will own the content calendar, balancing feature GTM with external beats and internal promotions. Additionally, you will lead the development of messaging and positioning strategies for new products, ensuring alignment across all communication channels, including social media, paid channels, and in-app experiences. Continuous testing, optimization, and adaptation of messaging to improve customer engagement and product adoption will be key responsibilities. You will also collaborate with creative teams to produce marketing assets that highlight the excitement, value, and innovation behind Underdog.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Strategy and Product teams to develop comprehensive marketing plans.
  • Conduct in-depth value proposition analysis and work with stakeholders to refine brand differentiators.
  • Own the content calendar, balancing feature GTM with external beats and internal promotions.
  • Lead the development of messaging and positioning strategies for new products.
  • Continuously test, optimize, and adapt messaging to improve customer engagement and product adoption.
  • Utilize A/B testing, customer surveys, and data analytics to optimize product positioning and marketing strategy.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce marketing assets.
  • Become an expert in understanding user behavior, preferences, and pain points.
  • Engage with customers and the gaming community to gather feedback and insights.
  • Lead qualitative and quantitative research efforts to uncover insights into customer motivations and trends.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing initiatives.
  • Leverage data insights to enhance product messaging and campaign effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and strategic thinking.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of integrated or product marketing experience.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns in competitive markets.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and ability to apply insights into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Expertise in brand positioning, digital marketing, and content strategy.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Results-oriented and data-driven with a passion for continuous optimization.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and adaptable with the ability to work cross-functionally.
