About the position

We are looking for a Director, Marketing Product Management for our Specialty Generics business in North America. Incumbent will develop and implement marketing strategies for the generics injectables portfolio, with overall product management responsibility for assigned product portfolio and work closely with the sales team, contracts group, customer service, supply chain management and other cross-functional departments, to drive business growth and achieve both revenue and market share targets for assigned products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement generic injectable product strategies, and have product management responsibility for both assigned in line products and new product launches
  • Develop product forecast, both volume and financial, for assigned new products to enable evaluation of potential opportunity as well as production planning
  • Coordinate on new product prioritization, filing, pre-launch and launch, monitor the filing to launch process, participate in key pre-launch meetings
  • Lead the development and execution of commercial launch strategies including pricing and customer offers along with sales team to ensure prioritization and successful launch of the right products
  • Review on a regular basis product pricing versus market pricing and recent price changes; make changes to the pricing grid and specific product prices as required
  • Develop the financial forecast of the assigned product portfolio for annual budgets & quarterly estimate process
  • Monitor product performance trend versus budget and estimate, provide insight and comments on the variances, and proactively drive product performance
  • Analyze external environment, market trends, and customer behavior to guide demand planning and provide inputs on supply planning
  • Develop appropriate product promotion strategy and plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of generic pharmaceutical marketing experience in product management and business analytics
  • Understanding of generic pharmaceutical market dynamics, contracts, customers and pricing
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), organization and interpersonal skills
  • Decision making and negotiation skills
  • Good computer (MS Office Suite), analytical & problem-solving skills.
