About the position

St. Paul Academy and Summit School (SPA) is a coeducational, non-sectarian, college preparatory day school serving more than 920 students in kindergarten through grade 12. Our two campuses are located approximately a mile apart in St. Paul, Minnesota, serving Grades K-5 on our Lower Campus and Grades 6-12 on our Upper Campus. We are seeking a Director of Communications and Marketing to lead our efforts in promoting the school’s mission and values, enhancing our visibility, and engaging with our community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy for the school.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, and digital content.
  • Manage the school's website and social media presence to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Collaborate with faculty and administration to highlight school programs and achievements.
  • Organize and promote school events to enhance community engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications or marketing, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and social media platforms.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a leadership role within a school or educational institution.
  • Familiarity with graphic design software and web management tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
