About the position

We are seeking a strategic, creative, and data-driven Director of Marketing Communications to lead our brand storytelling, digital engagement, and consumer experience efforts. This role will be pivotal in driving awareness, loyalty, and advocacy across our consumer base. The ideal candidate has deep experience in social media, digital marketing, PR, customer retention, and omni-channel communications-ideally within a high-growth direct sales or MLM environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive customer communications strategy that enhances brand reputation, increases consultant engagement, and supports business growth.
  • Lead internal and external communication efforts to ensure consistent, compelling messaging across all touchpoints.
  • Partner with executive leadership and product teams to craft compelling narratives around product launches, business updates, and community impact.
  • Oversee the global social media strategy (organic and paid), ensuring brand-aligned, engaging content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Build and manage a social content calendar that supports product campaigns, recognition, events, and community engagement.
  • Monitor trends, sentiment, and KPIs to continuously refine and optimize social strategies.
  • Champion a holistic view of the customer and consultant journey, identifying key moments to drive satisfaction, loyalty, and advocacy.
  • Design and implement retention strategies, including targeted promotions, to maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Own our Rewards Circle program and monitor to ensure the global program is working and driving the right behaviors and growth.
  • Collaborate with customer service, field development, and product teams to close experience gaps and deliver best-in-class service.
  • Lead the development and execution of performance-driven digital campaigns (email, SMS, paid media, influencer, SEO/SEM).
  • Drive adoption of digital tools and content by the field to support consultant growth and retention.
  • Own reporting and analytics related to digital performance, setting KPIs, and using insights to guide future strategy.
  • Manage a high-performing team of communication and digital professionals; inspire a culture of creativity, accountability, and innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including Sales, Creative, Product Marketing, IT, and Legal.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of experience in communications, digital marketing, or customer experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in a direct sales, MLM, or consumer goods company is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record in developing integrated campaigns that drive engagement, retention, and conversion.
  • Strong understanding of social media strategy, community management, and digital marketing best practices.
  • Passion for customer experience with experience mapping journeys and deploying CX/retention strategies.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills.
  • Comfortable with analytics tools (Google Analytics, CRM dashboards, social listening platforms).
  • Natural collaborator with strong project management and team leadership skills.
