About the position

We’re looking for a self-driven Director of Marketing to build and execute our marketing strategy. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an annual marketing plan aligned with company goals.
  • Execute all marketing campaigns from conception to completion.
  • Develops and implements strategies and tactics to build brand awareness.
  • Identify target audiences and craft tailored campaigns for residential, business, and municipal markets.
  • Manage marketing budget and report on ROI.
  • Create compelling content for web, email, print, social media, and advertising channels.
  • Design or coordinate design of promotional materials, flyers, signage, and digital assets.
  • Plan and execute campaigns for service launches, promotions, and seasonal initiatives.
  • Manage the website, including content updates and SEO strategy.
  • Plan and run digital advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Facebook/Meta, etc.).
  • Monitor social media channels and engage with the community.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all channels.
  • Draft press releases, customer notifications, and community updates.
  • Coordinate community engagement and sponsorships.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics for all campaigns.
  • Use insights to adjust strategies and maximize effectiveness.
  • Update senior leadership on the progress of marketing activities and reporting on the results of campaigns.
  • Work closely with sales, customer service, and technical teams to align messaging and support shared goals.
  • Serve as the point person for marketing vendors and contractors as needed.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of marketing experience with at least 2 years spent reporting to senior or executive leadership; telecommunications or retail service industry experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute marketing plans independently.
  • Strong writing, design, and content development skills.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., WordPress, Canva/Adobe Creative Suite, Google Ads, Mailchimp/HubSpot).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and web analytics (Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager).
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Community outreach experience.
  • Experience developing and presenting strategic plans and presenting them at an executive level.
  • Knowledge of rural broadband or fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) service marketing a plus.
  • Video editing and photography skills a plus.
