About the position

The Director of Marketing is a forward-thinking, data-driven leader responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, brand engagement, and retail growth. This role plays a key part in aligning marketing efforts with overall business goals — combining strong analytical insight with creative strategy to deliver results. The Director will lead brand positioning, local activation, and digital campaigns across all channels, while partnering closely with media agencies and internal teams. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, strategic thinker, and thought leader who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused retail environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data-informed marketing strategy that drives store traffic, engagement, and brand growth.
  • Lead a high-performing marketing team, setting clear priorities and fostering a results-oriented culture.
  • Work closely with media and digital marketing agencies to execute omnichannel campaigns — understanding and optimizing performance across all channels.
  • Leverage analytics and consumer insights to shape strategy, optimize messaging, and continuously improve marketing performance.
  • Own all core marketing metrics and dashboards — including campaign ROI, media efficiency, cost per acquisition, and lead conversion.
  • Develop and execute local brand activation and field marketing strategies that align with broader business goals.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Merchandising, Visual, and Operations to ensure alignment on campaign messaging, product focuses, and timing.
  • Translate complex performance data into clear business insights that inform leadership decision-making.
  • Oversee marketing budget and cost management, regularly evaluating spend to ensure alignment with business priorities and maximizing return on investment.
  • Manage all aspects of brand strategy and messaging, ensuring consistency across all communication channels and touch points.
  • Serve as the marketing subject matter expert on emerging trends, tools, and technologies — proactively bringing new ideas to the table.
  • Drive a culture of testing and iteration — identifying opportunities to scale what works and pivot from what doesn’t.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or multi-location businesses, required.
  • Strong background in digital marketing, performance media, and marketing analytics, preferred.
  • Proven track record of leading successful cross-channel campaigns and improving marketing ROI.
  • Experience managing agency relationships and media budgets.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms (Google Analytics, Power BI, CRM/email platforms, social ad platforms, etc.).
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
