About the position

This position serves as Pharmacist in Charge of Erlanger Health Baroness Campus. The Director will coordinate and oversee pharmacy personnel involved with day to day operations and clinical services- develop schedules, review/enter payroll. Ensure operations conform with state regulations and Erlanger policies. Work with pharmacy operations manager to coordinate system-wide initiatives that affect the Baroness Campus. Collaborate with diversion/med safety pharmacist to ensure compliance as it pertains to the Baroness Campus. Work alongside PICs at all sites to standardize processes and facilitate staffing needs. Oversee clinical staff and clinical initiatives as they pertain to the Baroness Campus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee pharmacy personnel involved with day to day operations and clinical services.
  • Develop schedules and review/enter payroll.
  • Ensure operations conform with state regulations and Erlanger policies.
  • Work with pharmacy operations manager to coordinate system-wide initiatives.
  • Collaborate with diversion/med safety pharmacist to ensure compliance.
  • Standardize processes and facilitate staffing needs with PICs at all sites.
  • Oversee clinical staff and clinical initiatives.
  • Provide oversight to operational, decentralized and clinical pharmacy services.
  • Annually prepare and support the budget.
  • Responsible for inventory management and state board compliance.
  • Support the Technician Coordinator regarding recruitment and technician needs.
  • Collaborate on automated dispensing cabinets, eChart, and other operational initiatives.
  • Facilitate the growth and development of pharmacists and services offered.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited pharmacy school with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree.
  • Current and Valid license to practice pharmacy in the State of Tennessee or be eligible to be licensed as a Pharmacist by reciprocation or examination.
  • Three years of hospital experience with completion of pharmacy practice residency or five years' hospital experience.
  • Manager or director experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters of Business Administration, or similar training.
