About the Role The Director of Performance Marketing will lead all paid acquisition and retention marketing efforts across the Fanatics Collect ecosystem, including Topps.com, Fanatics Collect marketplace, and live shopping platforms. This role will define and drive the overall performance marketing strategy, scale customer acquisition, and deliver against aggressive growth and ROI targets. You will be responsible for managing cross-channel media investments, developing rigorous testing strategies, and optimizing digital marketing performance across all platforms. This is a high-impact leadership role that requires both strategic vision and strong executional capabilities, with the opportunity to shape the future of growth at one of the most exciting brands in sports and collectibles.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the performance marketing strategy across paid search, social, display, affiliate, and emerging channels
  • Oversee campaign planning, execution, and optimization to drive customer acquisition, conversion, and retention
  • Manage a team of media buyers, channel specialists, and agency partners to deliver on KPIs
  • Develop forecasting models and own performance reporting across all marketing funnels
  • Collaborate with product, analytics, and brand marketing to align performance strategies with broader business objectives
  • Design and implement A/B and multivariate testing frameworks for creative and channel optimizations
  • Maintain budget discipline while scaling spend efficiently across high-impact channels
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and platform updates to maintain competitive advantage
  • Champion a data-driven approach to decision-making, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Present performance insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA a plus
  • 8 years of experience in performance marketing, preferably in a DTC ecommerce or digital-first environment
  • Proven track record of managing and scaling multi-million dollar digital media budgets
  • Expertise across major performance channels (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, programmatic, affiliate, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Looker, or similar BI platforms
  • Deep understanding of digital attribution models and media mix optimization
  • Experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams
  • Exceptional project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Passion for sports, pop culture, and/or collectibles is a strong plus

Benefits

  • Salary range of $175,000 - $200,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation
