About the position

At NorthBay Health, the Director, Philanthropy is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for securing significant financial support from a portfolio of current donors and donor prospects. Responsibilities include the entire life cycle of philanthropy: identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors, tracking and reporting on performance. In addition, to building and maintaining other donor programs like: a Grateful Patient Program as well as others. The Director independently and as a member of the Foundation team, providing direction to the Foundation President to help with management of their respective portfolios. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for securing financial support from donors and prospects.
  • Manage the entire life cycle of philanthropy: identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors.
  • Track and report on performance metrics.
  • Build and maintain donor programs, including a Grateful Patient Program.
  • Provide direction to the Foundation President regarding portfolio management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in public relations, communications, English, fundraising or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred.
  • A minimum of eight years of leadership experience in successful non-profit fundraising, campaign management, donor engagement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with philanthropic foundations.
  • Knowledge of planned giving.

Benefits

  • Compensation: $150K to $165K based on years of experience in the role.
