About the position

The Product Management Sr. Group Manager – CitiDirect® Americas (NAM/LATAM) will be a product leader and manager of a high-performing group of regional/cluster product management talent. This leader will be responsible for understanding the various markets and industries, direct competitors’ products and services, and the changing financial regulatory environment. The right candidate will be able to move easily from establishing cluster-level business strategies that deliver product and technology transformation, partner with country level leaders and resources to define future investment needs, collaborate with Global product management leadership and teams to influence product enhancements that drive the cluster goals and global strategy forward. This leader will also have to be ready and willing to roll up their sleeves, get comfortable working with the team and experts to get emersed in the data and details of any given business problem. Excellent verbal and written communication in both English and Spanish are a must (Portuguese a plus), with the ability to frame and create strong written strategic materials a plus. The right candidate will be the face of CitiDirect for the region to Citi’s clients. They will represent the Platform and Data Service organization in meaningful client touchpoints, necessitating a high degree of communication influence and aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the overall performance of the CitiDirect platform and monitors performance drivers for the platform and Americas portfolios.
  • Leads the teams responsible for the ongoing performance and maintenance of CitiDirect in both the NAM and LATAM cluster, including client experience, risk and distribution.
  • Shapes and implements performance improvement strategies, with a specific focus on competitive analyses, market analyses, global product development road maps, and product line extensions.
  • Defines and analyzes sector regulatory trends, opportunities and issues.
  • Represents customer needs and provides strategic direction on product development features, functionality and overall competitiveness.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, legal, implementations, and sales to deliver solutions for Citi clients.
  • Ensures sales and relationship managers are trained, and ready to identify client needs, and proposes solutions in line with business objectives.
  • Partners closely with sales teams to identify client opportunities and with the client management organization to meet with prospective clients and to size new opportunities.
  • Produces cluster and sector-specific marketing material that will arm the sales force with the tools necessary to grow Citi’s business.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Product Management and/or Product Development discipline.
  • Experience with and confidence in delivering presentations to clients and senior managers.
  • Proven analytical, presentation and communication skills with an ability to explain complex concepts in a compelling way.
  • Advanced judgment and in-depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions.
  • Required to think beyond existing solutions, assumptions or current knowledge of sophisticated areas.
  • Deep, broad and diverse functional experience (e.g., marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development and analytics) with a track record of driving business innovation and leveraging management information and data analytics to drive results.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to define and achieve high value business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with a sense of urgency.
  • Outstanding strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills, and an ability to innovate and problem solve.
  • Significant experience in serving a range of clients, in understanding investment processes across asset classes and in dealing with the highest level of management.
  • Product development skills and a commercial acumen with a proven track record of successfully bringing products to market.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to influence and build consensus.
