Description
As part of C+E Product Marketing, the Industry Leaders Program team focuses on landing lighthouse wins across our portfolio of IoT, advanced analytics, blockchain and business applications products, including Dynamics 365, PowerApps, Power BI and Flow. We recruit, nurture and engage with hand-picked, marquee customers that are thought-leaders in their industries to help them drive digital transformation using our technologies. We then showcase these lighthouse wins through a series of co-marketing activities.
We accomplish this by:
Developing and managing exec-level connections with customers to foster partnerships
Collaborating with account teams to ensure engagements map to customer priorities
Partnering closely with engineering teams
Generate valuable insights on a variety of business and technical topics through webinars and events
Partnering closely with the evidence team to generate showcase customer stories
Examples of the teams work include Rolls-Royce, TD Bank, Lloyds of London, Johns Hopkins, Schneider-Electric, ThyssenKrupp, Rockwell Automation, and DocuSign.

We are seeking someone with an understanding and point of view on how the latest technology trends in IoT, advanced analytics and Dynamics 365 impact the manufacturing industry, such as how a digital twin can enhance the manufacturing experience, how industrial IoT and AI can improve output and flow, etc. This is a unique opportunity to engage with some of Microsofts most important customers to influence and accelerate their business transformation.
Specific responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Demonstrated success in understanding customer needs, aligning technology trends and industry insights and ultimately determining the best customer fit for the program
Ability to articulate and create scoping documents for customer solution requirements and initiate engineering engagement
Create, nurture and engage with executives and develop close working relationships with customers to gain commitment and buy in
Strong project management to drive the customer engagements forward and to completion of deliverables
Dynamic storytelling and strong written and verbal marketing communication skills. Ultimately delivering impactful showcase customer stories that will be featured at the highest levels within the company, often making a market, and displaying customer thought leadership & vision.
Partnership with integrated marketing and content teams to create a bill of materials from the customer story, including but not limited to: event presentation, AR/PR, social media, digital content, sales enablement, demos, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrated 10+ years experience in manufacturing product marketing, technology marketing, and / or related roles
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in manufacturing product marketing, technology marketing, and / or related roles in areas directly relevant to the responsibilities described above.
Ability to drive cross-team collaboration with diverse groups in a cross functional organization
Top-tier problem-solving skills with the ability to achieve results despite ambiguity, and ability to think strategically about technology and its business implications
Product marketing and marketing communications experience, including sizing market potential and uncovering customer needs with unique value differentiation.
Experience and proven track record in taking new and innovative products and technologies to market. A masters degree is preferred but not required.
